The Brea Police Department has experienced tremendous success over the years by actively engaging members of the communities we serve in problem identification and problem solving. Officers are encouraged to inject themselves into the community, working side by side with residents and business owners to solve problems and improve the quality of life. Police personnel routinely participate in community initiatives, from the planning phase to program implementation. Patrol Officers work on a modified 3/12 shift schedule. Officers work three, 12-hour days one week, then three 12-hour days with one eight hour day the next week.
