Civilian Investigator
The Brea Police Department has a Civilian Investigator assigned to the Investigative Division. The Civilian Investigator conducts crime scene investigation at the scenes of major crimes. They also work a case load within the Financial Crimes Unit. The Civilian Investigator conducts follow-up investigation, interviews victims, witnesses, and suspects, and obtains criminal filings. A Civilian Investigator earns a shift differential pay bonus of 3% when working evening and night shifts.
