Another component of the department’s Traffic unit, Commercial Enforcement is tasked with the monitoring and enforcement of commercial vehicles operating within Brea and Yorba Linda. With the rapid growth of Brea and Yorba Linda and a regional landfill located in Brea, the area attracts many different types of large commercial vehicles. Commercial enforcement officers are trained in commercial vehicle inspection, looking for potentially dangerous equipment violations, and enforcing weight limit restrictions.
