School Resource Officer
The department maintains two School Resource Officers (SRO) that partner with high schools in Brea and Yorba Linda . Officers assigned to area high schools are primarily a resource to students, teachers and administrators. They work to build relationships and often are seen as mentors by students and faculty. Frequently, SROs can identify issues and thwart problems, thereby preventing potential negative situations on campus. As necessary, officers also conduct law enforcement duties on and around campus.
School Resource Officers work closely with school officials to maintain an orderly and safe learning environment for Brea and Yorba Linda students.
