Investigations
The Brea Police Department offers a wide range of specialty assignments within the Investigation Division. Detectives specializing in Robbery/Homicide, Sex Crimes, Financial Crimes and Narcotics are utilized to conduct investigations in Brea and Yorba Linda. The department also has Detectives assigned to regionalized task forces in Narcotics and Auto Theft enforcement.
Brea Detectives receive many hours of specialized training in their investigative discipline, and also receive cross-training to assist in major investigations, such as Homicide. They work closely with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and other county agencies such as Social Services. Our Detectives also enjoy other benefits, such as take-home vehicles and personal cellular phones.
