CAP

Community Action Patrol (CAP) is a volunteer program for citizens of Brea and Yorba Linda interested in assisting the police department.  CAP volunteers receive formal training in order to assist police staff with various duties and events, such as vacation house checks, area searches for missing children, assisting with DUI check points, supporting the Brea PD Citizen’s Academy, and providing traffic and crowd control at Brea and Yorba Linda community events.

The police department provides uniforms, badges and service recognition awards.  CAP members use department vehicles, police radios and learn police codes and procedures.  The CAP program is a vital component to the successful delivery of exceptional public safety services for the residents of Brea and Yorba Linda.
